Terms of Service — Nerd Knight

Pre-launch notice: Nerd Knight is still in development. These terms are a working draft and are not a substitute for the final Terms of Service that will govern the production app. They will be reviewed and updated before launch.

1. Current website

This website provides information about a product in development. Features, availability, pricing and launch timing may change.

2. Future accounts and eligibility

The production app is expected to require an account for certain features. Final eligibility and minimum-age requirements will be stated in the launch version of these terms.

3. Acceptable use

Users may not use Nerd Knight to harass or threaten others, impersonate people, distribute unlawful content, exploit minors, violate privacy, interfere with the service, spread malicious software, or engage in fraud or other unlawful activity.

4. User content

Users are expected to remain responsible for content they create or send. Nerd Knight will require the limited rights necessary to host, transmit and display user content in order to operate the service. Final licensing language will be published before launch.

5. Community moderation

Nerd Knight may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce community standards, protect users, protect the service or comply with law.

6. Tabletop games and third parties

Nerd Knight is intended as an independent tool for tabletop players. References to third-party games, systems, stores or services do not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated.

7. Safety and real-world meetups

Users are responsible for exercising judgment when communicating with or meeting people they discover through the service. Nerd Knight cannot guarantee the identity, conduct or compatibility of another user.

8. Service changes

Because Nerd Knight is under development, features may be added, changed or removed. Production terms will explain service availability and any paid features before they are offered.

9. Final legal terms

The production Terms of Service will include the legal operator of Nerd Knight, governing-law provisions, warranty and liability terms, dispute procedures, termination rules and other provisions appropriate to the launched service.
